Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for this year. We are all healthy and doing so well. My family is doing well and Jarrod is enjoying his job. His job isn't always easy - but we know that God has called us to Gracewood to serve. Ya'll don't forget to pray for Jarrod as he serves. There's alot of work to be done with the youth and kids. Jarrod is also hard at work doing his Masters. That takes up alot of his "spare" time. LOL!

Charlie started walking 2 weeks ago and he's into everything. And since he is walking, he is a little resistent to naptimes. That boy will holler and wail forever! I used to let him sleep on the couch next to me but I've been putting him in his bed and boy, he doesn't like that! I figure that eventually .... he'll get over it.

My cousin and his family didn't come to Thanksgiving in Memphis this year but my aunt came. So - that was good! We had a good time.

I (Jessica) have been dieting for 3 months now and I've lost 26 pounds. I'm back to my 'pre-Charlie' weight. Now, I gotta get to my 'pre-Jarrod' weight. HAHA. I'm on a program where you eat 6 meals a day and it's regimented. But, I got to eat whatever I wanted (in moderation) for Thanksgiving lunch. And it was GOOOOOOOOOD! I got back on the diet again the next day. It's not easy - but I am seeing some good results.

Christmas is coming soon! We put our tree up today (but we haven't decorated it). We put it behind the kitchen table. I am wondering if we should not put up our glass ornaments b/c little fingers might bust them all....??? Not sure yet! :) The lights on the top portion of the tree aren't working -- must be a bulb... isn't that lovely?

I really need to do Christmas cards this year. I shouldn't be so lazy. Every year, I say I'm going to do it. Maybe this year is the year. LOL!
