Wow, 72 more days and we will finish our time with the North American Mission Board. Originally, we had wanted to continue with NAMB as career missionaries. But, it seems that God has closed that door for us. Because of the financial problems around the world, many Baptist associations are not taking any new career missionaries. And NAMB is having their own financial issues. We all need to remember to pray for NAMB and the changes that are probably on their way. Remember also to pray for all of the missionaries that the changes will affect.
We have been busy with snow birds! Jarrod is interim preaching at Shellbanks Baptist Church and there have been LOTS of snowbirds. We have enjoyed them! Jarrod started as interim there on January 1st. It adds a little to the work load - but that's okay. The snow birds are starting to leave now. And the spring breakers are here. It's starting to warm up here!
I have been really busy with my seminary work. It's all due on April 1st. I will graduate in May. We will not be travelling to Fort Worth for graduation because of the travelling costs and the cost of the hotel. Plus, it's an awful long way to go! We are hoping that Jarrod can start seminary in the fall - man, it's going to be expensive. We aren't really sure how we are going to be able to afford this. Will you pray that God will show us which seminary Jarrod needs to attend and provide for the tuition and books?
Charlie will be five months old on Monday. Can you believe that? He has started to laugh outloud a little - before he has also just chuckled. And he has learned to blow raspberries. He's 15 pounds now and 24 inches long! He's just growing! The doctor said that he is in the 40th percentile for his weight and in the 10th percentile for his growth. So, he's a little under the curve - but that's okay too.
Pray for us in the coming months. Many changes are coming our way. The possibility of re-locating and the possibilities for work are things that definitely need prayer! Pray that God will work out the details!

Pray for Jarrod as he serves as youth and children's minister at Gracewood Baptist Church. He's also the family life center director. He is ALSO working on his Masters!
Pray for God to renew our hearts on a daily basis and that the Holy Spirit will help us to Press On!! Pray for Jarrod and Jessica to remain healthy and energetic. Pray that God would put his angels around them to protect them every day!!
