Jarrod and I attended our very first annual meeting of the Mobile Baptist Association on Thursday. It was a long day but a day where we got to share alot about what we are doing and where it seems that God is leading us!!
On Friday, October 10th -- we welcomed the Gracewood Baptist Church Youth Mission Team to the International Ministries Center. They mostly brought their younger youth. They raised money to build a fence so that we can invite Campers on Mission (which are volunteers who travel in RV's and are commissioned by the North American Mission Board) to the International Ministries Center to serve alongside us. We are so excited to finally have the fence built -- all the plumbing and electrical is ready for them. Pray that God would appoint hearts to come down to Mobile to help us in minister to the international community.
Unfortunately, I came down with a stomach virus on Saturday night and as I am writing I am not feeling all that well. The battery on our thermometor died -- I know I had a fever but I don't know how bad it was. The best thing about the whole weekend was that my Dad came down with the group -- he was a source of encouragement and fun!!
Before the youth finished their mission trip, they blessed us by helping with some yardwork. I don't know that they fully understood just how much they blessed us. Maybe someday they will realize it!!!
Thank you to the Gracewood Baptist Youth Mission team and for the men's group from Gracewood who are already planning to come down in November. We love ya'll.
The rest of this week will be wild.
Jarrod and I are representing the North American Mission Board in Santa Rosa, Florida during the day on Thursday. I am speaking at a girls conference at a local church on Friday night. And the Walk for Bibles and International Ministries is THIS SATURDAY!
- Please pray that we can effectively convey to the 109 churches of the Mobile Baptist Association what God is doing here and how they can be involved!!!
- Pray for the churches in the Mobile Baptist Association to become more involved and pray for the seafarers to really hear the gospel.
Thank you for your prayers and for your kind words!!
