Walk for Bibles and more!

Many of you have asked how the Walk for Bibles and International Ministries went on October 18, 2008. We had about 600 walkers and around $23,000 was raised. It was a wild day but it was a fun day. A day where alot of people were exposed to the ministries that are going on in their own backyards here in Mobile, Alabama. People brought their families and even their dogs to walk together. We were so blessed to be apart of that day because we could share first hand with hundreds of people what God was doing not only in the lives of the seafarers but also in the lives of those involved in the international language churches and the English as a Second Language classes.

My goal was to raise $2500 for the Walk. I was able to raise $1990 and also received so many meaningful encouraging notes from my friends and family. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who supported me while I walked!!!

Success!!

This month is racing to an end and we have been really busy. We were very blessed to have the Gracewood Baptist Youth group come to build on to a fence here at the International Ministries Center. We are already putting out requests for Campers on Mission to come and work alongside us in this busy ministry. Unfortunately, while the youth were here - I came down with a 2 week virus of some kind and am now feeling better each day.

On November 9th, the Men's Ministry from Gracewood Baptist Church are coming down to help us extend an existing shed and build Jarrod and I a kichenette. What a blessing Gracewood Baptist Church (of Southaven, MS) has been to us. Pray for them as they prepare to come.

Our house still hasn't sold -- we had a looker who owned a Porsche a few weeks ago!!!
