Our housing issues are the same. We had a visit from NAMB and we are continuing to try to work with the local association to try to get the mold cleaned up and the varmints out of this building. It is a very slow process that has been quite frustrating and at times overwhelming. But, we will continue to persevere in hopes that things will get better!
January was a busy month. We got the opportunity to travel to Ashburn, GA for an On Mission Celebration. There were a total of 21 missionaries there and it was interesting to hear of their experiences and see what God was doing through each of them. Jarrod and I each spoke at a different church every night which was a little tiring but we met alot of really nice people. Asburn is a VERY small town with no Wal-Mart but alot of friendly faces.
While we were in Ashburn, we got the chance to bring our Australian sugar glider with us. Many of the people had never seen a sugar glider and it was fun to be able to share him with others.
February will also be a very busy month for us. We are helping with a Disciple Now at a local church in Mobile this weekend. Next weekend, Jarrod is speaking at a local church. On February 22nd, we will be commissioned by the North American Mission Board in Savannah, Georgia.
We have a potential buyer for our house. They have some issues with a foreclosure. So - they might rent for 2 years and then buy it-- making it a Lease/Purchase. We are just leaning on God for the answers and praying that He will shut the door if this isn't the right thing. We will know more very soon. Please pray!
The Language School continues to need more volunteers and more locations. There are just so many students who need to learn English but more importantly, they need Jesus.
We are being inundated by the amount of seafarers wanting to get off the ships. Our phonecalls have increased by something like 600%! Please pray for more volunteers and that we will get the chance to share Jesus with each seafarer.
School has started back up for me. This semester has the potential to be more difficult because of coursework in one particular class. Pray that I will be able to juggle my ministry assignment and my school work!
Thank you for your prayers and your support. We are amazed at how God is providing for us on a daily basis and amazed at how God is looking after our health and welfare.
Remember to pray for:
- The Language School in Mobile - for volunteers so that we can open additional locations.
- The work among the seafarers - that they would come to know Jesus and that more of the churches in Mobile would get involved!
- Our house in Southaven to sell!!
- My grandfather (Charles Campbell) has just been diagnosed with cancer in the lining of his bladder. Please pray for his healing -- he is 85 and a believer!
- Jarrod's continued improving health!
- Our housing situation to improve!
